Once again we are setting sail on our 2nd Annual World Famous Floating Stage, this time rocked by a band selected by our fans. The winner of our Floating Stage Contest not only hosts Saturday's epic float down the Colorado River, but possesses the ability to blow our bathing suits off and secure a slot on the main-stage in 2011. We'll also give them a short slot on our side stage, located in the 21+ bar on the festival grounds.
Things you and your band mates should know before applying:
- No compensation or lodging is provided, but you are welcome to camp in the Artist Camping area.
- Hospitality for the weekend is provided.
- You will be on the river from Noon-ish until 4pm.
- Be prepared for sit-ins. Other musicians will be on the water, inc/ some of the bigger names of the festival.
- The stretch of river we float is primarily Class 1 rapids with two small Class 2's (Class 6 is unnavigable). Instruments are securely stored in drybags under the stage (which is affixed to a large pontoon boot). We do not pull-out the instruments until we are thru the Class 2 rapids.
