YarmonyGrass
Outdoor Activities

One of the things we love about Rancho del Rio site is its incredible proximity to the river. The headwaters of the Colorado River offer 1st-class whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing and trout fishing. The festival site has direct river access for rafters, fishermen, and kayakers, giving you the freedom to enjoy the best Colorado has to offer - including this year's YarmonyGrass!

Put your team together before arriving at YarmonyGrass and get ready to play! The FAN team playoffs will begin Friday afternoon. The FAN Champions will play the BAND Allstars Sunday during the closing Barbecue. Teams will be made up of 10 players. The Kickball Team sign up is now closed.

Fly Fishing workshop hosted by Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth:

The Upper Colorado River is a premier trout stream providing anglers with the opportunity to experience the thrill of catching and releasing wild trout. It's diversity, beautiful scenery, and abundance of large trout all make it a truly wonderful river. Booking information available soon. Click HERE for fishing permits from the Colorado Dept of Wildlife/Fishing.

River Float: (Sorry, sold out!)
An afternoon float with your friends and musical heroes. We’ve created a floating stage, so that when you hit the long, calm spots on the river you’ll be treated to an assortment of acoustic musical pickins.’ The trip finishes up at the festival site where mainstage music kicks off with a 5pm Happy Hour Revival.

Yoga:
YarmonyGrass yoga brings joy, compassion, and kindness to morning yoga. We will offer a 9am class Saturday and Sunday. Yarmony classes are aimed at supporting you in being the best person you can be, not just physically but also spiritually and emotionally. Yoga is more than just exercise -- if you put your heart into it, it can completely transform your life and the way you see the world.

Stagecoach Hike:

Join us for a short jaunt up the historic Stagecoach road located at the back of Rancho del Rio. The road was used to connect people to Steamboat Springs and went out of service around 1907. Once you reach the top, you'll have an amazing 250 degree view of the valley, overlooking the festival site and the Colorado River. You'll be joined by one of our guides who will give you background on the rich cultural history of the area, beginning with the Ute and Shoshone Tribes. The hike has a considerable uphill climb. In addition, there are steep portions of the trail. Thus, we suggest that only children over the age of 10 participate on this hike.

Rec Area:
Volleyball, Bocci ball, Horse shoes

Big Water goes to School:
An interactive workshop that helps kids learn to express themselves and works to create positive thinking habits and healthy communication. This workshop is a discussion with children about emotions and feelings and works to help them find creative, positive and artistic ways to express them. Exercises are designed to empower the individual mind by taking a creative look at our selves and sharing a piece of that with the group. Activities encourage critical thinking, public speaking, and creative expression.

Movement for KIDS:

Yarmony kids can get involved with yoga and have fun learning with movement. From alligator to zebra, this time for kids uses the alphabet to guide 26 kid-style yoga games and songs inspired by animals, flowers and other familiar icons kids love.

Dinosaur Fo
ssil Hike:
Join us for a two-hour hike across the river from the festival site. Yarmony Mountain and the Colorado River Basin are rich in geologic history. Look down and you will most likely find a dinosaur bone or shark tooth along the river bank. Look up and you'll spy a 100 million year-old geologic feature on the south side of Yarmony Mountain. Add to that a short hike to some well-preserved dinosaur footprints in the sandstone, and you've got yourself a guided tour.

Guitar workshop with Scott Law:
Freestyle Americana Guitar: Sparks of wisdom on musicianship and fretboard navigation through fiddle tunes, folk and bluegrass songs.
